Applicants to the Honors Legal Scholars Program must be current Florida State University students or incoming freshmen who have also been admitted to the Florida State University Honors Program. If you apply to the Honors Legal Scholars Program as an incoming freshman, and you determine that you will not be attending the Florida State University, you are required to withdraw your application immediately. Please e-mail your withdrawal to: admissions@law.fsu.edu and address it to: Director of Honors Legal Scholars. A total of three admissions processes are required to participate in Honors Legal Scholars: • Admission by the Florida State University (current student or as a freshman for the following fall or summer) • Admissions to the Florida State University Honors Program • Admission to the Florida State Honors Legal Scholars Program. 2025 Application Submission Deadline: March 15, 2025 There are many competitive applicants to the Honors Legal Scholars Program each year with only a limited number of available openings. We highly encourage anyone not admitted to the program to reapply in subsequent years. All majors are eligible. Applicants selected for the Honors Legal Scholars Program are notified by June 1st each year via e-mail. Please read the Honors Legal Scholars Participant Handbook available at https://honors.fsu.edu/apply/applying-honors-legal-scholars-program and ALL application directions before submitting this form. Submission of this form denotes that the applicant has read and understands all of this information and agrees to all requirements and policies therein. REQUIRED DOCUMENTS In addition to this form, the application for the Honors Legal Scholars Program also requires the submission of a resume, personal statement, Seminole statement, a letter of recommendation, and current transcripts. It is recommended that you upload these documents with your application, but they can also be sent to us directly. All electronic documents submitted must to be in either Adobe PDF or Microsoft Word file formats. Please do not send compressed or encrypted files. We will make every effort to allow students the opportunity to correct deficiencies in their applications, when possible, but incomplete applications, applications missing documents, or applications with documents in any file format other than Adobe PDF or Microsoft Word will not reviewed.
