The Environmental Law Certificate Program allows students with career interests in the environmental law and policy field to receive specialized training in a set of core areas related to environmental, energy, and land use law. The certificate program carries additional requirements beyond those for the J.D. degree, and signals to potential employers that a graduate has achieved special competency in these core areas. The program has been designed to allow students to craft a broad and well-diversified course of study. Admission to the Environmental Law Certificate Program is required for students who wish to participate. Pursuant to University policy, students are not enrolled in a certificate program by virtue of being enrolled in related courses. To enroll in the Environmental Law Certificate Program, you must submit this application prior to the completion of the second course that you plan to use to satisfy the certificate requirements.
